Deccan Psychiatric Association Notice For Election Of The Office Bearers Of D.P.A.
To, The Members of D.P.A.
Dear Members, This is to notify that the election for the following office bearers of D.P.A. will be held at the Annual General Body meeting:
- The President ——— 1 Post
- Hon. General Secretary ——— 1 Post
- The Treasurer ——— 1 Post
Article XI Section C: Election of the Office Bearers
The office bearers (The President, Hon. General Secretary, and The Treasurer) will be elected at the Annual General Body meeting. The duration of the tenure of the Office Bearers would be of three consecutive years (from A.G.M to A.G.M).
All office Bearers will preferably be from the same town / city / locality to ensure smooth running / functioning of the association. The Office Bearers would be elected by a simple majority of the voting members present at the A.G.M.
In case of "tie" the President will have the casting vote to elect the office Bearers. The current President will act as the election officer for the election of the next office Bearers.
The Hon. General Secretary will invite nominations for the post of office bearers three months prior to the date of A.G.M. There will be cut-off dates for the receipt of nominations. The nominations should be proposed by a voting Life Member of D.P.A. and seconded by two voting Life Members of D.P.A.
One member can propose to second only one office bearer. The nominated person cannot propose or second the name of office bearers. A consent of the person nominated for the post is mandatory to consider him / her for the election.
